Spot rates for large crude tankers continue to surge this week as VLCC availability remains low and suezmax activity picks up.
The Baltic Exchange's average time-charter equivalent rate for VLCCs has gained 26.3% since the close of last week, bringing the assessment to more than $33,000 per day.
It's the highest day rate in two weeks but 27.2% below this day in 2015.
