VLCC owners crossing fingers for rate boost as Saudi port stays stretched, Signal says

VLCCs and suezmaxes are spending significantly more time at the key Saudi Arabian terminal of Ras Tanura, with a boost for freight rates potentially in the offing.

This is according to Greek chartering platform Signal Group, whose latest data shows days spent in the port by crude tankers have risen 25% in week and a “dramatic” 177% in a month.
