Trader Vitol has added a second time-chartered VLCC to the Tankers International (TI) pool as it grows its large tanker fleet.
Brokers said the company has given TI commercial management of Enesel’s 319,000-dwt newbuilding Papalemos, which is due to be delivered from Hyundai Heavy Industries in 2019. TradeWinds reported in August that the vessel, one of four VLCCs on order for the Greek owner, had been chartered to Vitol for 12 months at a rate of $24,500 per day.
