The dispute resulted in PV Trans Oil’s 9,202-dwt PV Oil Venus (built 1997) being arrested in Singapore earlier this month.
The Vietnamese-flagged vessel was stopped in the early hours of 16 January at the request of local law firm Asia Legal LLC.
Court documents show that the Singapore-registered plaintiff was seeking damages of SGD 381,211 ($304,895).
However, the vessel has since been removed from the Singapore admiralty sheriff’s latest list of vessels under arrest.
