Product tankers are rallying in the Atlantic.
The Baltic Exchange’s MR Atlantic Basket shows rates more than doubling in the last 10 days, jumping from $6,674 per day on 8 February to $15,658 per day on Friday.
“The Americas has been the highlight of the week with both MR routes seeing significant freight rate hikes off the back of bullish sentiment,” the Baltic Exchange said in its weekly report.
