Listed shipping companies face detailed scrutiny of thousands of internal emails if the US decides to step up enforcement against tanker operators hauling sanctioned Russian oil, shipping veteran Morten Arntzen said on Thursday.
The US blacklisting of a United Arab Emirates-based dark fleet operator was a message to the wider industry to comply with rules around price-capped Russian barrels, said Arntzen, a senior shipping adviser for Macquarie Bank.
