Union Maritime of the UK has boosted its products tanker fleet with the purchase of two MRs from Victor Restis’s Enterprises Shipping & Trading.

Enterprises has shed the 51,200-dwt Energy Protector and Energy Price (built 2004), shipbrokers say.

A figure of $12.5m is being placed on each of the STX-built vessels, which brokers suggest represents a rise in asset values.

Union Maritime is led by Laurent Cadji, the former Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley oil trader.
