SCI’s 316,200-dwt Desh Viraat and Desh Ujaala (both built 2005) have been hired by IOC on two-year contracts, multiple brokers say.
A rate of $41,600 per day is said to have been secured on each of the ships.
This compares with the $45,658 per day available in the spot market on Friday when adjusted for slow steaming, according to Howe Robinson Partners.
