A 26-year-old tanker linked to Russian oil trades spent two days unable to avoid other vessels in the Indian Ocean in the latest case to highlight the dangers of the shadow fleet.
The 106,500-dwt Turba (built 1997) was listed as “not under command” by vessel tracking site Sea.live from Monday, circumstances which indicate that the vessel may have broken down.
