Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) has taken delivery of the second of nine aframaxes ordered on the back of charters from Statoil.
The Greek shipowner’s US-listed arm said the 112,700-dwt Thomas Zafiras (built 2016) had been delivered from Romania’s Daewoo Mangalia Heavy Industries.
The ship will immediately enter a long term contract to Statoil that could generate gross revenues in excess of $100m.
