Transpetro says it is the victim of any crimes that result from the confessions of its former chief executive, Sergio Machado.
Responding to questions from TradeWinds, the Petrobras tanker arm says it is working in conjunction with its parent company, prosecutors and the federal judiciary following Machado's earth-shattering allegations of bribery.
As TradeWinds reports this week, documents associated with Machado's plea agreement say the disgraced executive and former politician has identified several tanker charter awards that were followed by bribes, which he then funnelled into political parties.
