Secretive Greek owner Transmed Shipping has entered the crude tanker market with the purchase of a 15-year-old suezmax from US-based Teekay LNG Partners, brokers said.
Sources told TradeWinds the Hyundai-built 151,000-dwt European Spirit (built 2003) has been sold for a firm price which shows a solid improvement from the last comparable transactions.
The tanker, which is due for special survey this month, has changed hands for $15.7m,
