Canada’s newly extended Trans Mountain pipeline (TMX) has changed the tanker market in just six weeks, but a full rate “bonanza” may be some time away yet, analysts and brokers believe.
In its first full month of operation, crude exports from the pipeline’s Vancouver terminal averaged 341,000 barrels per day, Kpler calculated.
The previous record was 93,000 bpd from April 2018.
