Chief executive Nikolas Tsakos said during the owner’s second quarter conference call the two departing vessels are the 164,400-dwt Triathlon (built 2002) and the 37,400-dwt Delphi (built 2004).
While individual prices were not disclosed the company said the two ships combined fetched $43m.
Tsakos said all of the company’s vessels over 10 years of age were sales candidates.
