Demand for Iranian crude from China’s small independent refiners in eastern Shandong province has reached its highest level this year as Tehran has maintained an aggressive pricing policy to compete with Russian barrels, according to analysts.
Iranian crude and fuel oil imports reached 1.2m barrels a day in the first half of September, with 85% of Chinese imports going to Shandong.
