Team Tankers International is in talks with several parties over a potential merger as it mulls both acquisitions and sales, chief executive Hans Feringa said Thursday.
The Oslo-listed chemical tanker owner is interested in potential consolidation, expanding its medium-range tanker fleet or even selling off one of its business segments, he said during a conference call with investors.
Feringa addressed the topic in response to a question by shareholder GLG Partners about potential mergers-and-acquisition opportunities after last-months purchase by Stolt-Nielsen of Jo Tankers' chemical tanker fleet.
