The West African tanker market could be set for another shake-up as Ghana begins building a major new $12bn refinery.

The 300,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) plant at Jomoro is expected to be completed by 2029, according to Kpler.

There will also be a 90,000-bpd petrochemical plant as part of the development overseen by Ghana’s Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC).
