Shipowners could take advantage of big premiums as the US deadline on Iranian crude shipments approaches.
"Iranian crude loadings for export will continue even after the US sanctions are fully implemented," one chartering source told the Platts news agency.
"It will not stop completely. Somehow companies will manage to ship out."
US sanctions come back into effect on 4 November.
