VLCCs closed out January continuing their recent tepid average earnings, as climbing rates in the Far East were cancelled out by declines seen in the Atlantic.
The Baltic Exchange’s VLCC time charter equivalent assessment increased just about $1,000, rising to $11,800 per day from $10,800 per day over the last week.
