Danish shipowner Terntank Rederi has been able to opt for hybrid power on two new tankers thanks to help from the Swedish government.
The company said an undisclosed amount of support from the state climate change fund Klimatklivet has made it possible to install battery packages and shore power connections on a 15,000-dwt pair of product and chemical carriers.
The ships are due this year and in 2022 from China Merchants Jinling Shipyard in Yangzhou.
