The owner of a tanker that bears all the hallmarks of being part of the Russian dark fleet has managed to slash a Chinese repair bill in half before securing its release from arrest in India.
Sapang Shipping’s 105,000-dwt Argent (built 2005) departed the Indian port of Sikka late on Monday after High Court of Gujarat judge Mauna M Bhatt lifted an arrest warrant obtained by a grouping of six Chinese engineering service companies and equipment suppliers.
