Suezmax spot earnings rocketed by 40.4% Thursday as October cargo offerings bolstered sentiment in the market.
The Baltic Exchange's assessment for time-charter equivalent (TCE) rates jumped $4,180 to more than $14,500 per day.
That's the highest level since 18 July and more than double the rates earned this time last week, though it is still well below the $25,500 per day suezmax spot rate this time last year.
