An Iranian official has said the UK-flagged tanker Stena Impero is ready to be released, but it remains unclear when the vessel will be allowed to leave Iran.
The vessel has been detained in the country for 66 days.
"The legal work and administrative procedures for the release of the English tanker have been completed but I have no information on the time of the release," Ali Rabiei told a news conference on Monday, quoted by Reuters.
