Stafilopatis-backed Colonial Navigation locks tanker into $30m Trafigura charter

The Stafilopatis family's Colonial Navigation has locked one of its new product tankers into long-term charters with trading giant Trafigura.

The US-based shipowner has struck a charter deal with the Swiss trader for the 111,000-dwt Spetses Lady (built 2020), according to European brokers. The deal, which is poised to last 30 to 36 months, will bring in $28,500 per day, giving total revenue of more than $30m during the charter period.
