Shipbrokers saythe 73,700-dwt vessel that the US-listed operator declined to identify by namein Thursday’s announcement is Hellespont Hammonia’s Hellespont Promise(built2007).
The second long-range one (LR1) product tanker is widely believed to be the 72,300-dwt SN Federica (built2003), which is controlled by Scerni di Navigazione.
Observers note the vessel used to be controlledby Dolphin Tankers of Italy, a disbanded joint-venture between Scerni and FratelliD’Amato.
