Russian shipowner Sovcomflot is shutting its long-held office in London to comply with sanctions imposed on the company by the UK government.
Asked by TradeWinds about the future of its UK arm, Sovcomflot said in a statement: “In accordance with General License issued by Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) of HM Treasury, UK persons and organisations are expected to wind down transactions involving Sovcomflot (SCF Group) and its subsidiaries no later than 15 May 2022.
