Hurricane Harvey has dented fourth quarter profit at Stolt-Nielsen with the Norwegian shipowner booking results which were considered soft among analysts.
Results from its tanker division were influenced by the closure of the Houston Ship Canal after the storm, while there were also impairments at Stolt Bitumen Services and Stolthaven New Zealand.
Niels Stolt-Nielsen, chief executive of Stolt-Nielsen, said the chemical tanker market continued to soften in the face of oversupply.
