Sinokor Merchant Marine (SMM) continues to be busy selling tankers for demolition and has disposed of a 20-year-old aframax.
The 105,000-dwt Pacific Sunrise (built 1998) has been sold for optional delivery for a full $490 per ldt or $8m, according to demolition brokers.
SMM bought the tanker from Koenig of Germany for $10.5m in July 2012.
The company has been contacted, but does not comment on commercial matters.
