South Korea’s Sinokor Merchant Marine is thought to have sealed a deal with Samsung Heavy Industries for a string of aframax tanker newbuildings.
Newbuilding brokers said Sinokor has contracted two firm vessels, and pencilled in a pair of optional berths at the South Korean yard.
The ships are priced at around $52m each and are understood to have been contracted with conventional propulsion systems.
