Harjeet Kaur Joshi has become the first ever woman to run Shipping Corp of India (SCI).
The Ministry of Shipping has confirmed the former finance director in the top job on a permanent basis until May 2022.
She replaces Anoop Sharma as chairperson and managing director after he came to the end of his set term at the state-owned company in September.
