Uncertainty over trade wars has killed the crude tanker period charter market, but brokers are reporting movement for MR product carriers.
Danish owner Celsius Shipping has been linked to three-year deals with Shell for the Chinese-built 49,600-dwt Celsius Portsmouth and Celsius Philadelphia (both built 2021).
The rate has been put at $18,250 per day, with the ships on subjects to start deals in the fourth quarter.
