New York-listed Scorpio Tankers is solidly in profit-making territory across all three of its vessel classes with bookings to date in the first quarter after registering a narrower-than-expected loss to begin 2022.
Scorpio is earning $24,300 per day on its LR2s with 44% of days booked, and $30,000 per day for both its smaller tankers with 42% of MR days locked in and 33% of handysize days booked, the shipowner revealed in a rates guidance accompanying its first-quarter earnings.
