SCF tests LNG-fuelled aframax on gas during NSR passage

Russian shipowner Sovcomflot (SCF Group) has trialled its second LNG-fuelled aframax tanker on gas during its transit of the Northern Sea Route (NSR) on its maiden voyage.

Although the ship was not able to bunker LNG in South Korea where it built Sovcomflot said the crew of the 114,000-dwt newbuilding Lomonosov Prospect successfully tested the operation of the ship engines and controls of the fuel systems using LNG.
