Oil output collapsed at ExxonMobil’s Sakhalin-1 project after the US energy major refused to accept local insurance for Sovcomflot (SCF) tankers stripped of coverage after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, according to reports.
ExxonMobil refused to allow six SCF tankers to carry fuel after the alternative Russian arrangements were made for coverage, according to Russian daily Kommersant and news agency Reuters.
