A London hearing has begun into whether Russian shipowner Yuri Nikitin can press ahead with claims for up to $378.8m in compensation against state company Sovcomflot (SCF).
The high court’s commercial court will sit for two weeks under Justice Stephen Males to consider the fall-out of SCF’s huge $800m fraud trial, which found Nikitin liable for fraudulent charter and S&P deals in 2010.
