Belgian shipping company CMB has hit out against the prospective merger of tanker giants Frontline and Euronav.
The Saverys family-controlled company “does not support the combination” and is proposing an alternative strategy based on decarbonisation.
“CMB questions the current strategy of Euronav, which focuses solely on the transportation of crude oil in a world where decarbonisation is of paramount importance,” it said.
