Shipping newcomer EuroGreen Maritime has pencilled in an order with a Chinese shipyard for a series of methanol-fuelled MR tanker newbuildings worth about $464m.
Shipbuilding sources said EuroGreen — led by Norwegian ship financer Rolf Wikborg — has contracted Jiangsu-based New Times Shipbuilding to build eight product carriers priced at $58m each. The deal does not include any optional ships.
