Paddy Rodgers has compared the potential backlash to the use of scrubbers to meet new IMO emissions laws with the outcry following the Volkswagen emissions scandal in his latest broadside against the technology.
Euronav chief Rodgers, an outspoken critic on the use of scrubbers, questioned earlier this month how the technology would perform in the court of public opinion given environmental concerns voiced in some quarters.
