The back-and-forth ship and cargo seizures by Iran and the US this week has pushed maritime security consultancy Dryad Global to raise the risk profile for some ships in and around the Middle East Gulf to "heightened".
In a note released on Friday, Dryad said any vessels carrying US-related cargo should be on alert in the Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman.
