Rising demand sees crude tanker finish October in stronger position

The Baltic Dirty Tanker Index finished October with a slight improvement amid rising demand in a still-languid market.

Despite the three point dip seen on Friday, the index rose 167 points since the start of the month.

Then, on 1 October, the index was at 630. The assessment improved each day until Friday, eclipsing the previous year-to-date high of 765 on 22 October.
