Bob Burke-led Ridgebury Tankers has fetched a firm rate in a period charter for a scrubber-fitted suezmax tanker.
Trading giant Vitol has chartered the 164,000-dwt Ridgebury John Zipser (built 2009) at $40,000 per day, according to European shipbrokers.
Some brokers said the deal may have been finalised before the market peaked.
