Nearly a quarter of all Jones Act tankers could be involved in renewable diesel trades in coming years and super-charging rates, Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG) chief executive Sam Norton said.
Speaking at Capital Link’s Jones Act & US Flag Forum on Thursday, the Tampa-based tanker owner’s head said there are six or seven ships carrying renewable diesel from US Gulf Coast refineries to California, a number that could jump to as many as 10 in the coming years.
