The sweeping sanctions issued by the US on Tuesday have more than wiped out the 2025 VLCC orderbook, Fearnleys analysts say.
Fredrik Dybwad and Nils Thommesen said the blacklisting of 21 tankers, including 10 VLCCs, was the equivalent of phasing out all five VLCCs set to hit the water next year, and then some.
