The G7 and EU must cut and fully enforce Russia’s oil price caps and take action to prevent the expansion of the shadow fleet, a joint letter by more than 280 campaign groups demanded on Wednesday.
The groups called for an end to the “loophole” that allows oils refined from Russian crude in third countries to be exported to EU and G7 countries without falling foul of Western sanctions regimes.
