Product tanker owners are set to face less of a threat from crude tanker “cannibals” in the near future, according to Hafnia chief executive Mikael Skov.
The Singapore owner’s boss told a conference call with analysts that newbuilding VLCCs and suezmaxes currently load on average about 200,000 barrels a day of clean oil cargoes as they make their maiden voyages from shipyards in Asia.
