Principal Maritime is rumoured to have sold its last tanker in a deal that would complete its exit from shipowning if confirmed.
Princimar, backed by Apollo, sought an initial public offering for its crude tanker fleet in New York in 2014 but has since pivoted and sold down.
Shipbrokers have in the past week reported that the 19,900-dwt Princimar Equinox (built 2012) has been sold to a Singaporean buyer for $15.1m.
