Polembros Shipping might be out $10m, but it was cleared of wrongdoing by the US government in a ship sale that went awry.
In the latest incursion by US law enforcement into the global shipping industry, the Greek shipowner was investigated last year when it was selling the 150,812-dwt Gulf Sky (ex-Nautic, built 1998).
According to managing director George Vakirtzis, the probe created a few headaches for Polembros.
