Performance Shipping has extracted a higher period rate from trader Glencore for another of its aframaxes.
The US-listed Greek owner said Glencore’s ST Shipping & Transport has fixed the 105,525-dwt Phoenix Beacon (built 2011) for two years at $32,000 per day.
The tanker, to be renamed P Monterey, was bought for $35m in September from compatriot Phoenix Energy Navigation.
