Performance Shipping has secured debt financing for its seventh tanker.
The New York-listed owner announced on Tuesday that it had secured an $18.3m term loan facility with Greece’s Alpha Bank, some of which will be used to pay for up to half of the 105,300-dwt LR2 tanker Alpine Amalia (built 2010).
“The addition of Alpha Bank as a new lender to our company demonstrates confidence in Performance Shipping,” said chief executive Andreas Michalopoulos.
