Performance Shipping has become a pure-play aframax tanker owner, completing its metamorphosis from a boxship owner begun about 18 months ago.
The Greek owner has been slowly turning itself into an exclusively aframax fleet since changing its name from Diana Containerships in late February 2019.
The New York-listed company reached that goal on Thursday by selling and delivering its last containership Domingo (built 2001) to an undisclosed buyer for $5.6m.
